WILD, the Wilderness Institute for Leadership Development was created to provide the ethical, educational, and experiential foundation for inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards, and outdoor and active lifestyle enthusiasts. WILD offers multi-day field based education in hopes to provide its participants a foundation for leading and exploring discussions of sustainability as it relates to them, their communities and their greater world.
We want to encourage each person who passes through a WILD program to leave as a responsible environmental steward who addresses the resource needs of today without sacrificing the needs of the following generations. Most importantly, we want our participants to have fun as a wilderness experience has the power to inspire, give cause for action and lead to an active, outdoor lifestyle that remains rewarding one's entire life.
